When I first heard this song, I thought I was hearing the first single from the new Smashing Pumpkins album. Then I found out it was a different band altogether.
So, then I ended up hoping that new Pumpkins album would be as good as the Silversun Pickups album.
I still haven't decided how I feel about the album.
But I love these guys.
(Sadly, there's a full minute and half missing from this clip. Part of which I made into my phone's ringtone.)

Merry Christmas.

Beirut
My co-worker, Erin, introduced this band to me a little while back and I've enjoyed the hell out of them - especially since I've come to the conclusion that I am getting old and have no idea what's going on with music these days.
Anyway, this is Beirut's video for the song "Elephant Gun"

The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl - Fairytale of New York
After 20 years, one of the greatest Christmas songs ever written is being censored on Radio 1. It seems they just noticed that the other f-word is in it and they're afraid people might be offended.

Star Wars Lost Intro
In a YouTube kinda mood today. And what better way to kick it off than with a deleted scene from Star Wars.
